This was at the start of the race sprinting. Elise is in the pink shorts. A great action shot!
Here she is sprinting again to the finish line. I told her when she could see the finish line to run as fast as she could until the very end. She did not slow down until she crossed the finish line! Good job!
Here she is smiling right after the race was over!
To our great surprise, Elise took 1st place in her age category. We knew she had done well, but had no idea she did that good! She was so excited that she got a metal! Elise got a jump rope in the raffle too!
On a side note, Chris ran a 10K in South Weber days. He did not win a metal though! Elise could not understand why Chris just didn't run faster so he could win a metal too! Duh! He did win a wrench in the raffle though! That was so awesome!

I wish we would have done the race now! We weren't sure if our kids would stick it out to the finish line. Good job Elise!
Hooray for Elise! Now I get to make fun of you next year for waiting at the finish line, watching for Elise to come in any minute ahead of the pack. :)
I'm so impressed! I couldn't even run to the corner and back -- even before I was pregnant. I hope she sticks with it, I'm always envious of runners.
E that is so awesome! I knew you were fast but you ran so far. Great job!!!! Maybe the next time you come see me you can come running with me. That would be fun.
